Advances of our school in Barranquilla
It began with successful the construction of the Fundación Pies Descalzos School in Barranquilla. The project, developed by the architect Adolph Schlege and built by engineer Antonio Dominguez, promises to be an emblematic educational institution in Colombia and the epicenter of education for the popular locations in the city. One thousand four hundred students from four institutions of belonging La Playa early childhood, elementary and high school will be located in this new school, which will open its doors in January 2009.
In addition, the new building will also be a community development center that will provide vocational training and health programs for youth and parents of Barranquilla. The Fundación Pies Descalzos School will be a donation of the Foundation to the District of Barranquilla, which will be responsible for maintaining the standards of quality educational and give sustainability over time to the project.
